I just wanted to post that my nephew/training partner played in a scrimmage this past weekend and I got there late, but he looked strong on the field running the ball and he broke for an 80 yd. touchdown. He ran w/power and explosiveness. One of the guys sitting next to me at the game said, it looked like he was shot out of a cannon and the guy he was sitting with said did you see him break the three tackles before that. Needless to say I'm proud of my nephew and his hard work. I guess I'm a perfectionist because he missed about a month total since Dec. training time. We didn't do a whole lot for agility or conditioning either as he got lax during the spring and I don't want to be overbearing.
I just want him to now stay strong working out 3 times a week and he's been reluctant to do it thus far. School starts next week and it's possible they're still doing 2 or 3 a day practices, so I won't push him w/the weights just yet. Another analysis, we have to work harder on his agility. He's decently quick, but the team they played didn't have many athletes.
If you try to stay current on the latest insights on weight loss, you quickly realize how multifaceted the issue is. Like a three-dimensional...
Now never seems like the right time to focus on weight loss and fitness. Yet the present moment is all we ever have. Whatever the season...
