My nephew finished his first full season of high school football on the JV squad. He finished with the most interceptions on the team. The training definately paid off as you could tell not a lot of the others had. We will begin off-season weights in another week. He's only 16 and I don't want to be over bearing so I'm more or less giving him 2 weeks off to get ready to start again.
We trained a few weeks back and I was amped to have a workout partner again and I think the initial workout sort of scared him as I didn't think about scaling back the exercises and he was a little sore a few days later. This was expected but I could have scaled back the intensity. I'm currently training in the cutting phase. Higher reps and medium to light weight.
I'm working-out 6 months bulking and then 6 months cutting. I should be in the bulking phase right now and I'm having a had time switching because I'm getting great results w/cutting and losing weight, but not muscle. Until next time.
