Too many of us find ourselves eating for the wrong reasons. The chief culprit in this affliction is often boredom. We aren’t eating because we’re hungry, but because “it’s something to do.” In order to help discourage this type of behavior, try to be aware of why you are eating. Make sure you are eating for the right reason.
If you’ve been eating for the wrong reasons, try to replace eating with another activity. If often find yourself snacking in the afternoon at work, replace your snacking with a physical activity. Try taking a ten-minute break from work and walk around the building or take the stairs. If you are at home and you find yourself snacking in the late evening due to boredom, take a walk around the block. Simple activities like these can do a lot to help change your eating habits.
