Army Strong?

Our guys went through 8 weeks of preseason conditioning which was highlighted by our Friday morning team building/toughness training. Every Friday morning our guys would wake up at 5:30am for a different type of team building activity that had a military theme to it. Our guys gained a lot of respect for the military to say the least. In order to pass the Physical Training (PT) Test to enter the army (ages 18-22) are required to finish in the 60th percentile for their age group in 3 physical tests. Test #1: Sit Ups - 2 minutes, fingers locked behind your head, partner hold feet flat to the floor, elbow must touch thighs. Rest in up position only. 60th percentile = 53 100th percentile = 78 Test #2: Push Ups - 2 minutes, elbows must get to 90 degrees, rest in up position only 60th percentile = 42 100th percentile = 71 Test #3: 2 mile run 60th percentile = 15:54 100th percentile = 13:00 Minimum rest (10 minutes between tests; done in the above mentioned order). We challenged our guys to see how many of them could get to the 100th percentile for their age bracket. Our guys really enjoyed the challenge and showed drastic improvement from the 1st attempt in week #1 and the second attempt in week #8. Are you Army strong?
