Summertime Workout

At the University of Dayton we have 2 six week summer sessions that our student athletes attend.  While they are here on campus they have the opportunity to improve their conditioning both individually and collectively.  Staying in great shape during the off season allows for our student athletes to really hit the ground running when they return to classes in the fall.  ... read more

October 16 marked the official start of the practice season and we hit the ground running.  We return 10 of our top 11 scorers from last season's team and our guys are excited for the season to come.  This year's team has seven seniors.  All of which have really done a great job of help building our program.  Each of the individually has left a footprint on the identity... read more

Wow... what a fun ride...  It was such a magical season.  In college basketball there are few things more fun and/or more rewarding then the NCAA Tournament.  Many refer to it as the "Big Dance" and it is the pinnacle of College Basketball. Every so often I'm fortunate (or unfortunate depending on how you look at it) to have Coach Gregory ask me to get out there during practice and compete with the team.  At 29 it's becoming more and more obvious that I'm not in the shape I use to be in... Our guys went through 8 weeks of preseason conditioning which was highlighted by our Friday morning team building/toughness training. Every Friday morning our guys would wake up at 5:30am for a different type of team building activity that had a military theme to it.
