Thank God, the Boy Scouts returned to sell cookies at the end of stage 5. Joe and I each had three packages, which set us back a good $1.50.
The ride today was beautiful from Chariton, IA to Ottumwa, IA. It lasted about 80 miles. Joe managed to achieve that distance in a little under 4 hours and I did it in around 4 hours and 10 minutes. The rest of the team was right behind.
There are still a lot of hills in Iowa, but they seem more manageable, now that we are seasoned veterans.
Only two more days until we reach the mighty Mississippi and the end of our journey.

Averaging 20 mph over four hours is really amazing. See you on Saturday in beautiful Burlington...if I can find it.
