The seventh stop on the Get Up! Get Out! Get Active! Campaign was Boston, MA. Boston lived up to its reputation as a beautiful city with an amazing parks district. After strolling through the downtown section of the city, our first stop was Boston Commons. We couldn’t have chosen a better way to spend the day. Boston Commons offered abundant running trails, several sporting fields (for activities such as soccer, baseball, and flag football), and even tennis courts. We found all of these resources put to full use.
Bostonians take pride in their city and clearly they take full advantage of the parks district resources at their disposal. We found the parks district in the city to be clean, well-groomed, and full of a wide array of residents. Students, seniors, and everyone in between could be found enjoying these amenities. If you are a resident of the city or live near the city, we urge you to head on over to Boston Commons and explore different ways to practice healthy living in the city.
