We did the "Paradise Loop" ride today. Apparently it is very well know in the Bay Area...we started in Mill Valley and went around Tiburon. Approx 23 miles, a couple of moderate climbs and some fun descents...which I learned are not as easy as I thought as I nearly veered into oncoming traffic through one of the turns. I'd like to thank the drivers of the approaching vehicles - getting honked/yelled at gave me the encouragement to learn to stick to my own lane. Also, after being told that it would only take one ride to get used to my clipless pedals, I proceeded to fall again. This time it was at the top of a hill, where my entire riding group had gathered to wait for stragglers before the aforementioned descent...so everybody was looking at me as I chugged up the last 100 feet, and toppled over. No real heart attacks, though....which is nice.
