I recently shared my top ten fitness and health tips with Fitness Image magazine and thought I should share them with the Holosfitness.com community as well. I'll list the top ten here, but for more information check out the April edition of Fitness Image magazine.
1. Make sure you want it. You have to be the one who wants to get healthy, don't do it for anyone else, do it for yourself.
2. Write down your goals. Holosfitness.com offers the perfect tool to track your goals over time. If you aren't writing down your goals you aren't taking them seriously. Write them down and track them on Holosfitness.com so you can remind yourself of these goals over time.
3. Write down obstacles. The most common obstacles I see are: time, motivation, money, and resources. Luckily, Holosfitness.com can help with all of these.
4. Make small gradual changes. Don't make a major change by following a fad diet or workout. Chances are they won't last.
5. Plan, plan, plan. Planning ahead is so important that it needs to be a lifelong habit. You can't simply stay heathy and fit for a few months out of the year. It has to be a yearlong choice.
6. Drink more water. Muscles are made up of 70% water and they need hydration.
7. Add protein to every meal. Choose from a wide array of options such as eggs, tofu, legumes, chicken, lean beef, fish protein powders, and more.
8. Make a healthy grocery list. Having a grocery list will save you from making impulsive decisions that will work against your health.
9. Mix things up. Don't let your fitness routine get boring, check out Holosfitness.com for new exercise ideas and tips. I have posted nearly 20 videos on the site of different exercises and activities.
10. Be prepared to work hard. Remember there is no magic pill or miracle drink that will instantly give you the body you want. You have to work at it.
