To build bone you have to build muscle. Now picking up steel is def an option but did you know that high impact/plyometric exercises will do the same? To fight OSTEO anything get moving! Research shows that the sooner you start building bone strength, the less likely to end up w osteoporosis. Most people do the insane plyo workouts (often with BAD form-meaning they shouldn't do them) AND they don't take time for recovery: like stretching, foam rolling, corrective exercises and proper nutrition. Weight training is another low impact/safe option as well. Take care of your knees and everything that is connected to 'em!
