"I don't have time to exercise since the new baby."

Oh, if I had a dollar for every time I have heard this.  Guess what!  YOU DON'T HAVE TIME NOT TO EXERCISE with a new baby!  I know it's a challenge to fit it in, but once you get in the habit, not only will you be happier and healthier, but so will your baby.

What needs does a new mom have?  Most will say more time, more energy, and more sleep (not to mention an owner's manual for their little cutie!).  Exercise can help with all of these issues.  Exercise gives you more time by increasing your energy levels and helping you sleep more restoratively (so, you need less).  Corporate fitness research has proven that for every hour, up to one hour daily, increases productivity by that hour, plus an additional hour.  So, exercising 3 hours per week will give you those 3 hours back, plus an additional 3 hours!

Exercising regularly also helps lower the instance of postpartum depression and decreases stress levels, which in turn leads to happier babies.  So, if you can't do it for yourself, do it for that precious little one!
