This is an exercise that needs no equipment and can be done anywhere, even in the middle of your living room. Its a great way to strengthen your legs and tone your butt. Be careful, if you haven't done it before, your going to be pretty sore afterwards because it uses muscles you likely haven't used in a long time.
Muscle Groups: Legs, butt
Find an open space where you have at least three feet on all sides.
Get down on the ground on your hands and feet. Your palms should be flat on the ground. Your hands should never leave the ground.
Your left leg should be outstretched behind you with a straight knee. Your right leg should be up under your body with knee bent. Your right knee should be roughly beneath your shoulder and your right foot should be underneath your butt.
From the starting position, kick your right leg back (so that your knee is straight and your leg outstretched) and draw up your left leg so that it is know with knee bent and foot underneath your butt. You should always be on the balls of your feet and your feet should never be flat on the ground.
Keep switching your legs so that you alternate which leg is outstretched behind you and which one has knee bent and is underneath your body. The motion should be similar to a type of running motion, drawing one leg up and extending the other one backwards. Your hands should always be on the ground throughout the entire exercise.
Try to repeat this movement for two minutes straight.
Rest for two minutes in between each set and try to do a total of three sets (six minutes total of exercise)
