I am an athlete interested in triathlons and would be interested in any tips related to how to improve my time on the bike portion of the race. I also could really improve my run, but that is more of a long-term goal.

I love to exercise in Northern Michigan. You can walk up and down hills while viewing Lake Michigan the entire time. There are always lots of other people out walking and many have their dogs with them. Being out and about is fun for both Payton and me.
Also, there is a bike path that runs most of the way from Harbor Springs to Charlevoix, which is about a 20 +mile trip. I have only riden sections of this but maybe next year I will attempt the entire trail. You can play golf at the dozens of golf courses nearby. All are unique and challenging and some offer great views of Lake michigan or some of the smaller inland lakes.
Boating is a huge hobby of northern Michiganders. While riding in a boat doesn't give you much exercise just being outside and on the water can make you feel great. When the weather and water temperature are warm enough we jump off the boat and go for a swim in Lake Michigan. That is really envigorating.
Just being up north makes me feel good and want to be outdoors doing something fun.
