My focus is on body weight conditioning, I want functional muscle. I do use dumbbells as an alternative to just bodyweight and use bands. I am into martial arts, free style workouts and what I like to call "dirt fitness".
I run groups of people on outside bootcamps, in the dirt, doing martial arts, general fitness and conditioning. I believe in fitness for an overall positive lifestyle.
While I do not say not to lift weights, I suffer from various joint injuries as a result of pushing too much weight.

Wade, you make a very good point in your profile about the downside of relying exclusively on weights in order to build muscle. While weightlifting is a great activity and has obvious benefits, and over reliance can hurt the body. It sounds like Wade has found a happy medium in his routine, and I am constantly working on trying to do the same thing.
