As a commuter, I try to leverage any opportunity I can to incorporate walking into my daily fitness routine. I used to take the subway from the train station to my office. This expensive habit yields very little health benefits. So by substituting riding with walking, I am able to keep my weight in check, burn off some stress, enjoy the streets of New York City--and save some money too!
While at home, my wife and I take advantage of our neighborhood parks by walking our dog Luke. Sometimes we incorporate a light jog into the routine.
